I turned 34 last Friday.
And with each passing year, I find it doesn't matter how much you've missed, how long it's been, or who you think is watching. You have to give yourself permission to begin again, and again at whatever you deem worthy of your time, your life, your pursuit.
I started this newsletter as an extension of the Letters From A Stranger 100-day project. An unfinished project. One I plan to begin again with a caveat revealed in this introductory video:
Though the questions remain the same, the answers have surely changed.
I’d love to move through this project together, with this space serving as the headquarters. We’ll use threads to dive deep into the questions, video/podcast features to mix things up, and monthly BTS/resource round-ups for paid subscribers.
All films will also live on my YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/nnekaj
This is no small feat, but I’m confident we can do it together.
Closing questions (if you’ve made it this far!):
What’s your name?
Where are you writing from?
What are you creatively procrastinating on?
My name is Nneka Julia. I’m writing to you from Brooklyn, NY and I’ve been dragging my feet about finishing the Letters from a Stranger 100-day project for 2+ years, but here we are! One step at a time.
I can’t wait to meet all of you, again, along the way.
Warmly,
Nneka
My name is Amie Elizabeth, writing from London, England. I am procrastinating on putting my all-in, across various aspects of my life. Once I do, I will fly, it's just believing in myself and putting in the work to do so first...
I also want to say that I am a firm believer in re-inventing, re-introducing and re-directing yourself WHENEVER and HOWEVER often you need to. It's part of the journey.
My name is Palesa and I’m writing from South Africa. I’ve been procrastinating finally starting my own podcast
