I really hope that whomever may watch and hear this piece, can feel how true it is. The time will pass anyway, 1 day will turn into 1000...go f@dfdsfking do it. Thank you Nneka.
One advice I wish I received earlier in life is this: believe in yourself so deeply that other people's fears and doubts do not become yours.
People will sometimes measure your dreams by the limits of their own experiences. They may tell you what they think you cannot do, not because they know your potential, but because they are looking through the lens of what they believe is possible.
You cannot build your life around someone else's fears. Learn to trust the path you are taking, even when others cannot see it yet.
I would tell a 20 something that was like me that you are not relatable don’t try to connect nor contort it will only waste money and energy. Be more focused on self and cut the wanting to be helpful. It will leave you resentful and withered. The more you focus on self and your trues form the higher odds you won’t end up old and brittle.
Just as I was about to comment, I realised that if Nneka had also been trapped in fear, we wouldn’t have encountered this video article or piece. It’s crazy how overwhelming life can be, but living authentically and fearlessly makes it far better. Thank you for being a blessing to this world, Nneka ❤️ God bless you.
The dreams I had in my twenties they still linger around loudly saying you should 've pursued us.Every idea and desire to do something failed before it even gotten anywhere. Now I'm heading to 40 I'm so adamant that I'm bringing my ideas to life applaused or not,and I'll stand back smiling at that beautiful feeling that I did it.Your post is my forever reminder. My twenty something me is glad.I love you❤️.
Feels like the season of life I’m in right now. I spent so much time waiting for permission, straining for perfection, begging for validation…and only now, that I’ve given myself everything I was so thirsty for from everyone else, do I finally feel full enough to dive deep into my own well 💖
I'm in my 20s though. When I was a teenager, I couldn't wait to be an adult so I could be confident, smart, eloquent, and more beautiful...and finally love myself. But then I turned 21 and realized faith without works is dead.

This is absolutely true.
Now that you’ve put it into words, it makes perfect sense.
Living for others is never going to work; live for yourself, and life would be so much easier. Thank you 🙏
You inspire me so much. Huh… this advice though… thank you.

Needed to be reminded of this! We somehow forget that we don't need permission to be. Eeryone is figuring it out, so who makes them the judge?
Love this!
Evergreen words. Thank you, Nneka.
Ooof! Thank you!🤩

The teaspoon line! I felt that.
